Working principle of the dehydrator

Since the liquid sludge owns high fluidity, large amount of water in free state and does not have the pressure-resistance capacity, it comes to the gravity dewatering area first to remove the water in free state, reduce the fluidity of the sludge and produce relatively large binding force between the flocculant and the particles. Then the wedge preloading dewatering period is entered and after the tiny micro-pressure dewatering, the fluidity is nearly lost on an overall basis to make preparation for the cyclotron dewatering and shear dewatering. The sludge, after undergoing the gravity dewatering area and wedge dewatering area, will basically eliminate the moisture in the water in free state and within the flocculant. When the sludge in the weld network enters the roller with relatively small diameter, the pressing force produced by the tension force of the filter belt and the dewatering cake will be squeezed between the upper and lower filter belt, and produce shear force according to the different rotation directions to carry out dewatering treatment.

1. Gravity dewatering area

After the sewage mixes with the polymeric flocculant by sending it to the sludge stirring tank, the tiny suspended matters in the sludge has formed the relatively big adhesive feather type particles by means of the polymeric flocculant and then flows to the sludge arrangement device of the press filter with the direction of the gravity flow to make the sludge in adhesive feature type distribute on the filter cloth on an even basis.

The filter cloth in the gravity dewatering area will walk horizontally and then the capillary water of the sludge after quenching and tempering is transmitted to the water in free state. The capillary water runs through the filter cloth under the function of gravity and separate in the sludge. The function of the gravity dewatering area is to enhance the concentration of the sludge and make the adhesive feather type sludge stabilize, which is beneficial to the following pressing dewatering.

2. Pressure dewatering area

The upper and lower filter cloth will be closed gradually in this area. The sludge will be pressed and its concentration will be enhanced gradually.

3. Compression dewatering area

After coming into the compression dewatering area, the sludge clipped between the upper and lower filter cloth will move with S type among the pressing roller with S type arrangement while the pressure and shear force which gradually increase make the bound water in capillary of the adhesive feather type press and produce the relatively dry sludge cake which will discharged out of the machine by the mad-scraping device. The dewatering process is hereby finished.
